The DW17 series universal circuit breaker is suitable for distribution networks with AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 690V, and rated current up to 4000A. It is used to distribute electrical energy and protect lines and power equipment (such as generators, motors, rectifiers, etc.) from the hazards of overload, short circuit, and undervoltage faults. It can also directly start the motor and has selective protection function. Under steady-state conditions, it can be used for infrequent starting of circuits and motors.
Main Structure and Characteristics
The DW17 series is a maintainable universal circuit breaker that adopts a three-dimensional layout, compact structure, and strong universality of components. There are two installation methods: fixed and drawer. The product mainly consists of a frame, a contact system, an operating mechanism, an arc extinguishing system, and various independently installed release devices. The operating mechanism has five forms: stop and side manual direct operation, manual quick operation, electric quick operation, and electric motor pre energy storage belt energy release operation. Due to the use of arc contacts in the contact system, which are first connected and then disconnected, the arcing during circuit breaker breaking can be effectively introduced into the arc extinguishing chamber, thereby improving the arc extinguishing performance of the product.
